The appearance of the Christmas markets

Some of my most vivid memories of Christmas go back to the times when I visited the Christmas markets in Germany. I never fortunate enough to get one of the great occasions of interest as the events in Cologne, Munich or Stuttgart. Also I was never fortunate enough to visit during Christmas Nuremberg, where they say that the Christmas market is impressive. But I got to go to some of the regional markets in northern Germany and were always very pleasant. Cold December nights, warmed by a glass or two of Glühwein and the smell of roasted almonds, in the context of thousands of Christmas lights illuminating the stalls in the market places, was an assault pleasing to the senses that you can recommend.

Christmas market are also very popular in hot countries and in Spain there are events that can be enjoyed as part of the winter holidays in places such as Palma de Mallorca and towns along the Canary Islands, Lanzarote, Tenerife and Gran Canaria.

It is very tircky to predict cultural trends accurately and with confidence, but the use of reliable statistics and evidence of past changes a good way to make forecasts that are more likely to be realized. Customs and traditions in the UK are changing, but that is a place and begin to disappear?
